City Center Addition, Already?

Residential building at City Center DC
City Center DC is not yet ready for human occupation and it's already being considered as the site for another new office building. The 10 acre development in the heart of downtown is on the site of the old convention center. Developers are mixing residential, commercial, and public space land use.

Washington Business Journal is reporting that another office building may join the 515,000 square feet of office space already under construction. The new building would be on the 900 block of New York Ave NW. Developers are considering construction although though they haven't secured a lead tenant for the project.

Much of City Center is scheduled to open before the end of 2013. In addition to the office space, there will be over 600 residential units and 295,000 square feet of retail space.
