Beau Thai restaurant opened on Mount Pleasant Street NW last Saturday. I haven't eaten there, seen the menu, or heard any first person testimonials: I'm just glad to see a new restaurant option for the commercial strip in Mount Pleasant. I did briefly peek inside on Sunday and the interior appears to posses a modern simplicity, which I appreciate. And the entire block smelled great. A good sign.
Beau Thai's Mount Pleasant restaurant is located at 3162 Mount Pleasant St NW - yes, the former site of the temporary library and beloved Super Save Market. They're serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week.The original Beau Thai location is still up and running at 1700 New Jersey Ave NW.
