Panda Express opened last week at DCUSA. Sort of fits right in with the other mall-like establishments at the mall-like shopping center in Columbia Heights. Panda Express is located on the formerly barren side of DCUSA, on Irving Street directly across the street from Pete's Apizza. A Bank of America promises to open soon next to Panda Express, finally activating all three sides of the complex which have retail spaces. This is the first Panda Express in DC and there are seven total inside the Beltway.
The establishments now open at DCUSA as of today are: Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Washington Sports Club, Payless Shoe Source, Marshalls, Radio Shack, Children's Place, Staples, Lane Bryant, Vitamin Shoppe, Mattress Discounters and now Panda Express. Bank of America is just about finished, Ellwood Thompson's natural grocer has signed a lease, and both Desi's Chicken and Quizno's are now featured on the DCUSA website.
