The Potomac River Running Store looks to replace the former Cowgirl Creamery store in Penn Quarter. Cowgirl Creamery closed its doors at 919 F Street NW in December 2013. There is 1980 square feet of retail space at 919.
Potomac River Running Store specializes, not surprisingly, in running shoes, socks, and other running related accessories. This would be the 2nd PR Running Store in the District (Cleveland Park), and 10th overall. The other stores in this locally & family owned chain are located as far away as Leesburg and Rockville. No word on exact opening date or hours of operation, but the current DC store is open 7 days a week including 10:00 AM-8:00 PM Monday through Friday.
