Soupergirl was one of my favorite stands at several local farmers' market. When I heard they were able to open a store in Takoma DC, I was really happy for them, but haven't yet had a chance to visit. However, as of last week, Soupergirl added a Dupont location, which I visited recently.
They have a rotating line up of hot and cold soups, but also a really good selection of other takeaways like peanut noodle salad and spicy kale (menu). Everything in the restaurant is 100% vegan and kosher. That is awesome! The space is pretty small. There are no tables or chairs, but there is a little mini standing bar in the window. It's built for takeout/to-go. Soupergirl's Dupont store is located at 1829 M Street NW, on the second floor. It's open 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Mon-Thu and 11:00 am - 6:00 pm on Friday. Closed weekends.
