The Mount Pleasant Library Friends are hosting an after-hours get together at Mount Pleasant Library the evening before their fall book sale. The library is located at 3160 16th St NW.
The book sale itself will be held on Saturday September 20, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. There will be fiction and non-fiction books (Spanish & English), children's books, and CDs/DVDs.
However, the Friends are hosting a preview sale and social the night before, on Friday September 19. Attendees can have a glass of wine, talk with other members, and will have a chance to peruse the stacks before the public sale on Saturday. The event happens after the library is closed, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. It's free for members of the Friends and $15 for non-members, but that admission also includes a year-long membership in the Friends. Tickets will be sold at the door as well. Children and everyone under 21 are welcome and can attend at no cost.
