Fabrics Out, Pre Paid Mobile In

Vina Fabrics in Adams Mogan closed months ago. The storefront sat empty for a while, but is now active again, with the addition of Cricket Wireless. It's a mobile phone company trying to get a foothold in the Washington, DC market. They mostly offer pre-paid wireless phone services, similar to Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile. That is, there are no long term contracts and many of the features are available a la carte, an attempt to keep prices. down. Cricket is open 1652 Columbia Road NW.

Maybe gets some business, can't say. The fabric store was more useful.

But the real news is - for the theme of this blog at least, it would seem - NEXT BUS!!

What have you heard about a CVS opening up in Adams Morgan next to the Safeway?

I don't remember a fabric store in Adams Morgan! How could I have missed that?

It was pretty unobtrusive, I admit.

That's got to be the most unobtrusive store in history - I've been by that location at least 10 trillion times. I would definitely have gone in had I known it was a fabric store. Maybe it didn't look like a fabric store?
