The theme of the banners is "A Village in the City." There are banners in English and Spanish; the one pictured says "Mount Pleasant/en la ciudad/un Pueblo." It features a winding path of a park (we have that), a bicyclist (check), parent with a stroller (yea) and a diners eating on the sidewalk (well, no, haven't seen that is a while). Mount Pleasant hasn't had restaurant sidewalk seating since Bella Roma, in the old Tonic space. One can hope I guess. Anyway, the banners and bike racks deserve celebration. The event take place 7-10pm, and Marx Café is located at 3203 Mt Pleasant Street NW.
